Overview

Omni Account holders can use their Omni account through the SMS Channel. By use of simple SMS commands they can avail an array of banking services. To use account through SMS commands you don’t need a special SIM or GPRS connection.

How to activate?

To use Omni account through SMS you need to have an Account SMS PIN. At the time of Account activation, the call center representative will ask you to generate an Account SMS PIN and guide you through the process. In case you forget your SMS PIN please call (+9221) 111-825-777 for PIN re generation.

How easy it is to use?

It’s very easy to use Omni Account through SMS channel. It’s just a three step process: Step 1: Send SMS command to 8257 Step 2: Receive system generated call from Omni Step 3: Enter you Omni Account PIN to complete the transaction

Is it secure to use Omni account through SMS?

For every transaction, you receive a system generated confirmation call from UBL Omni. Every payment is authorized by a security PIN that only you know.

How secure is UBL SMS Banking?

Your UBL SMS Banking account is specially designed for safe and secure mobile transactions.Every payment is authorized by a security PIN that only you know. You will receive confirmation calls only from an UBL SMS Banking number so that you can authenticate the source of the call and distinguish it from unknown callers. This means that in any circumstances only you can make payments from your mobile phone. What's more is that you can be sure that your transactions will be processed instantly.

Funds Transfer

From Omni Account to another Omni Account

By using SMS command you can send money to any other UBL Omni account.

Steps to transfer funds from Omni Account to any other Omni Account

  • Go to the write message option on your mobile phone
  • Type command following command and send it on 8257 Pay e.g. Pay 2000 03001234567 1234
  • You will receive a system generated call back from Omni and possible callback # will be 02132404567, 02132445785 or 02132487513 or 03158258888
  • To confirm transaction, authenticate yourself and enter Omni PIN which you have created at the time of Account Activation
  • You will receive confirmation SMS from 8257 that your amount has been sent
  • Receiver will also receive a confirmation SMS that he has received money

From Omni Account to person (CNIC)

You can use your UBL deposit account to recharge your UBL Omni account whenever you run out of money. This facility is free of charge.

Steps to load money from your UBL account:

  • Go to the write message option of your phone
  • Type following command and send it to 8257 Load e.g. Load 5000 5675
  • You will receive a system generated call back from Omni and possible callback # will be 02132404567, 02132445785 or 02132487513 or 03158258888.
  • To confirm transaction, authenticate yourself and enter Omni PIN which you have created at the time of Account Activation
  • You will receive confirmation SMS from 8257 that your amount has been sent.

From UBL Account to Omni Account* (for UBL Account holders)

If you want to take money out of your UBL Omni account, you can unload it to your UBL account. This facility is free of charge.

Steps to Unload money from your UBL Omni Account

  • Go to the write message option of your mobile phone
  • Type following command and send it to 8257 Unload e.g. Unload 5000 4567
  • You will receive a system generated call back from Omni and possible callback # will be 02132404567, 02132445785 or 02132487513 or 03158258888
  • To confirm transaction, authenticate yourself and enter Omni PIN which you have created at the time of Account Activation
  • You will receive confirmation SMS from 8257 that your amount has been sent

Buy a voucher

  • You will receive confirmation SMS from 8257 which will include the Voucher #. You will receive confirmation SMS from 8257 that you have successfully loaded your mobile balance.

Zakat and donations can now be made to the following organizations.

Cash Withdrawal

Payments for items purchased from the following Online Shopping portal can now be made through Omni.

From UBL Account

You can also withdraw money from your UBL Omni account and collect it at a UBL Omni Dukaan or UBL branch (for online branches)

Steps to withdraw cash:

  • Go to the write message option of your mobile phone
  • Type command following command and send it to 8257 Cash e.g. Cash 2000 1234
  • You will receive a system generated call back from Omni and possible callback # will be 02132404567, 02132445785 or 02132487513 or 03158258888
  • To confirm transaction, authenticate yourself and enter Omni PIN which you have created at the time of Account Activation
  • Visit the nearest UBL Omni Dukaan with disbursal code and CNIC # to withdraw the amount
  • You will receive confirmation SMS from 8257 on once you withdraw the amount

Withdrawal Agent

  • Please take your original CNIC along with you when you want to collect your cash from UBL Omni Dukaan
  • Give your 16 digit disbursal code to UBL Omni Dukandar and show your original CNIC
  • On successful completion of transaction you will be handover the printed receipt along with the cash.
  • You will receive an automated confirmation SMS from '8257'

Withdrawal at UBL Branch

  • When you go to collect your cash from the specified branch, fill out UBL Omni Cash withdrawal slip
  • Provide teller with 16 digit disbursal code, transaction amount & CNIC
  • Present your payment slip to the teller and collect your cash.

View Bill

By Using SMS command you can easily check your current month’s bill details. No confirmation call for this transaction

Steps to view your current bill:

  • Go to the write message option of your mobile phone
  • Type following command and send it to 8257 View Bill e.g. View Bill 6000 KESC 12546789412 1234
  • You will receive an SMS from Omni with Bill amount and details

Check account balance

You can check available current balance of your UBL Omni Account at any given time.No confirmation call for this transaction.

Steps to account balance inquiry:

  • Go to the write message option of your mobile phone
  • Type command following command and send it to 8257 Bal e.g. bal 1234
  • You will receive account balance via SMS from 8257. For charges details visit our Schedule of charges section.

How to open a UBL Omni (Level 0) Account - for individuals only

Customer can open UBL Omni (Level 0) Account just by following these simple steps:

  • Visit nearby UBL Omni Dukaan with original CNIC and initial deposit amount (Rs 100 minimum)
  • UBL Omni Agent will take a digital picture of customer and his/her original CNIC (front side only)
  • Customer will submit initial deposit amount, i.e Rs.100 (minimum) to UBL Omni Agent
  • Customer can ask UBL Omni agent for instant ATM card (if required) by paying Rs.250 ATM fees
  • Agent will provide a printed receipt along with Terms and Conditions
  • Customer will receive SMS from '8257' informing them that their Account Opening Request has been initiated
  • Customer can conduct one withdrawal and deposit transaction before account activation.
  • Customer will be contacted by Contact Center representative for account activation within three working days (subject to verification of CNIC information)
  • Upon activation of Omni account, customer will receive a confirmation SMS from '8257'
  • After activation of Omni account, the following account limits for level 0 will apply:

How to open a UBL Omni Biometric (Level 0) Account - for individuals only

  • Visit nearby UBL OMNI Dukaan and provide Biometric thumb Impression.
  • Instant account will be activated (subject to NADRA verification through biometric)
  • Customer will submit initial deposit amount, i.e. Rs.100 (minimum) to UBL Omni Agent
  • Customer can ask UBL Omni agent for instant ATM card (if required) by paying Rs.250 ATM fees
  • Agent will provide a printed receipt along with Terms and Conditions
  • Customer will receive SMS from '8257' informing them that their Account Opening Request has been initiated
  • Customer account will be activated under sub limits. (Customer will have to set his/her PIN from call center to avail biometric enhanced limits)
  • Customer will be contacted by Contact Center representative for account activation within three working days “or”
  • Customer may call (+9221) 111-825-777 for account activation to set his/her PIN to avail complete Biometric account limits.
  • After PIN set of Omni Biometric account, the following account limits for level 0 will apply:

How to upgrade Omni Account from Level-0 to Level-1

Customer can upgrade UBL Omni Account by following these simple steps:

  • Visit nearby UBL Omni Dukaan with original CNIC and initial deposit amount (Rs 100 minimum)
  • UBL Omni Agent validates the customer's Level 0 account
  • UBL Omni agents checks the original CNIC and clicks on the check box (I have seen original CNIC)
  • UBL Omni Agent asks customer to fill and sign the form
  • UBL Omni agent enters customer’s details and marks the request in the system and clicks on the image capturing option
  • UBL Omni agent captures Level 1 from image and hands over the form with T&Cs to the customer
  • Upon activation of UBL Omni Account, customer will receive a confirmation SMS from '8257'

How to open UBL Omni Account with higher Limits (Level 1 - Account)

Customer can open UBL Omni (Level 1) Account just by following these simple steps:

  • Visit nearby UBL Omni Dukaan with original CNIC and initial deposit amount (Rs 100 minimum)]
  • UBL Omni Agent will take a digital picture of customer and his/her original CNIC (front side only)
  • UBL Omni agent will ask customer to fill Level 1 form and will then take picture of Level 1 form
  • Customer will submit initial deposit amount, i.e. Rs.100 (minimum) to UBL Omni Agent
  • Customer can ask UBL Omni agent for instant ATM card (if required) by paying Rs.250 ATM fees
  • Agent then hands over the Level-1 form along with T&C to the customer
  • Upon activation of UBL Omni Account, customer will receive a confirmation SMS from '8257'
  • Once Level 1 account is opened the following account limits will apply:
