What is UBL Netbanking?

UBL Netbanking is an Internet Banking Service that offers simple, convenient and secure method of accessing UBL bank accounts on the Internet. It has never been so easy to access and manage your finances in a secure, real-time online environment.

What can I do with Netbanking?

Using Netbanking, you can access your UBL bank account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can keep a close eye on your account balances, print account statements, pay bills, transfer funds, track purchases and schedule your recurring payments at the touch of a button and much more.

How can I activate my Netbanking Account?

You can activate your account through the website, provided:

  • You have an Active Account with UBL
  • Your E-mail Address is registered with UBL
  • Your Mobile Number is registered with UBL

How do I update my email address / mobile number?

Call UBL Contact Centre at 021-111-825-888 OR Visit your UBL Branch to update your profile information.

Can I access Netbanking from anywhere?

Yes! You can access Netbanking from anywhere anytime via the Internet.

I did register with UBL's Value Added Service but while activating my account - a message appears 'Information provided is invalid'.

The registration forms are updated within 3 business days. If it's been more than 3 days, please call Contact Center for assistance or write to us at customer.services@ubl.com.pk.

How can I sign up on Netbanking by using my UBL Account information?

You can activate your account through the website, provided:

  • By using Debit Card information
  • By using Account information

I have UBL Debit Card, how can I sign-up for Netbanking?

After selecting the option “UBL Netbanking Login”

  • Select the option to Register for Netbanking!
  • Provide your E-mail Address
  • Provide your Debit Card Number and PIN
  • Enter Verification Code
  • Click on Next

Upon successful authentication, an e-mail will be sent to your registered e-mail address with an activation link. Click on that link to activate your Netbanking account.

I forgot my ATM PIN?

Contact us at 021-111-825-888 for ATM PIN reset.

I am not receiving Netbanking emails on my Hotmail address?

By default, Hotmail has set the Junk Mail Filter to ‘Enhance’ spam filtering. Because of this, legitimate messages are occasionally identified as junk e-mail and are moved to the Junk folder. To ensure messages from UBL are not moved to the Junk folder, please add domain ‘ubl.com.pk’ to your Hotmail Safe List.

How to add a UBL domain (ubl.com.pk) to Hotmail’s Safe List?

Log in to your Hotmail Account

  • Click ‘Options’
  • Click ‘Junk E-Mail Protection’
  • Click ‘Safe List’
  • Type the domain i.e. ‘ubl.com.pk’ and click ‘Add’.

General Information

What is a TPIN?

Transaction Personal Identification Number (TPIN) is a 4-digit number that is required to confirm a transaction.

How can I request for a TPIN?

A TPIN can be generated from the website and is emailed to your registered email address

What if I have forgotten my TPIN?

You can simple re-generate the TPIN from the website. A new system generated TPIN will be emailed instantly to your registered email address.

Can I change my TPIN?

No, you cannot change your TPIN but you can always request a new TPIN from Netbanking portal.

What is the Netbanking default transaction limit and what does this mean?

Daily Transaction Limits on Netbanking are set to 1 Million by default and customers can change it by following simple instructions.

I see an unclear verification code, what should I do with it?

This verification code is purposely scrambled / twisted; just type the code written on it in the “Verification Code” field given below to it.

Why Limit automatically becomes zero?

For security purposes, the system automatically sets limit to zero each time customer makes ‘3’ incorrect TPIN entries

Follow the Limit Enhancement Process to update the limits as per your requirement.

How can I unblock my Account?

Call our Contact Center at 021-111-825-888 (UAN) from your registered number for your verification. Your account will be unblocked within 24 hours after the verification.

How can I unblock my Account if I am temporarily outside Pakistan?

  • Download and complete ACCOUNT UNBLOCK REQUEST form. Please click here to download
  • Fill and Sign the form
  • Courier/Post the Original Signed Form to the address provided on the form

I have forgotten my password. What should I do?

On the password page, click 'Forgot Password'. Enter the required credentials; a system generated temporary password shall be sent to your email address.

I have forgotten my Login. What should I do?

Login Names are unique to the customer's profile. In case you have forgotten one, you will be required to re-activate your account by following the 'Getting Started' steps. However, the same login name will be assigned.

Can I change my Login Name / Password?

You cannot change your Login Name; however, you may change your password using the 'Change Password' feature in the Options section of Netbanking.

What should I do, if I suspect that my password has been exposed to others?

Immediately change your password using the 'Change Password' feature from the website.

Can I link other UBL accounts of mine to my current Internet Banking Account?

Yes, you can do so. Visit your UBL branch and submit a request in writing to link your UBL accounts with the current Internet Banking Account

How can I register my Email address if I am a Non-Residence Pakistani customer?

  • Download and complete Customer information amendment form available on the website
  • Fill your desired Email Address along with other details required on the form
  • Sign the form & post the form to Customer Services

If there is any transaction limit restriction for IBFT through UBL Netbanking?

Yes, transaction limit for IBFT through UBL Netbanking is Rs. 500,000 per day.

Account Information

The account summary with the listed accounts and their respective balances shall be displayed, once you log-in to Netbanking.

How can I view my Account Statements?

  • From the account summary page, click on the respective account number
  • The account statement with a default date range of 10 days shall be displayed
  • You may also select different accounts from ‘Select Account’ to view their statements
  • You may specify a different date range as per your requirement

How can I view my Transaction History?

  • On ‘My Accounts’ page click on E-Transaction link
  • A screen will appear listing all the ‘Pending, Successful and Rejected’ Transactions

How can I search a particular transaction?

  • Click ‘Search’ on ‘Account Summary’ page
  • Select ‘Account’ title
  • Select your required search criteria
  • Click ‘Submit’

Why Limit automatically becomes zero?

For security reasons on suspicious transactions or when a customer makes ‘3’ incorrect PIN entries, the system automatically sets limit to zero.

How can I unblock my Account?

Call our Contact Center at 021-111-825-888 (UAN) from your registered number for your verification. Your account will be unblocked within 24 hours after the verification.

  • You can ‘Change your Transaction Limit’ through Netbanking portal
  • Also, you can call our Contact Center at 021-111-825-888 (UAN) from your registered number to change your limit

How can I view my activity log?

  • Go to ‘Settings’
  • Click ‘Activity Log’
  • Select the desired dates
  • Click ‘Search’

Note: Session of the entire searched period will be displayed. However, to view the activity of a particular session, click on the respective session ID.

How can I view my Cheques in clearing?

  • Under ‘My Accounts’ click ‘Cheques in Clearing’
  • A screen will appear listing the cheque details

Bills Management

What is Bills Management?

Bills management is our online bill payment service, which allows you to pay your bills to any of our listed billing companies.

What do I need to do before paying my bills?

You need to ensure that:

  • The billing company is added in your 'Pay Bill' portfolio
  • The amount you intend to pay comes under your daily / monthly limits.
  • You account has sufficient balance.
  • You have the TPIN.

How can I add a billing company to my 'Pay Bill' portfolio?

Go to My Payments -> Bills Management -> Utility Bills and click on 'Add Utility Bills' and follow the instructions. Once the billing company and the required bills are added, you can pay as many times as you want.

Can I schedule my monthly bill payments?

Yes! Using 'Auto Pay Bills' allows you schedule your recurring or one time bill payment on time factor basis.

I have just paid my bill. How long will it take to credit my bill at the billing company?

Normally, it takes less than 30 minutes for the billing company to give you credit. In case it's been more than a day, please call Contact Center for assistance.

Can I find out if the amount was debited from my account and/or was the transaction successful?

Immediately after paying your bill, click Transaction History to check the status of your transaction. Pending, Rejected and Successful transactions are listed under their respective heading.

I had scheduled my bill payments on monthly and weekly basis. Can I remove this instruction?

Yes, you can remove your Auto Pay Bill instructions as per your own convenience. All your scheduled bill payments are listed under 'Auto Pay Bills'. Click 'Remove' and follow instructions.

How can I pay my UBL Drive / UBL Address / UBL Money installments / repayments?

Under 'Pay Bill' click 'Add UBL Bills' and follow the instructions. Once the Loan Number and the required bill details are added, you can pay your loan Installments.

What are the City codes for World Call?

City code for World Call are as follows

  • 01 for Karachi and Hyderabad
  • 02 for Lahore, Multan Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Peshawar
  • 03 for All other cities

How to pay for an Online Shopping?

  • Login to UBL netbanking
  • Click on My Payments from the menu bar on the top of the page (this is also the first page displayed when you login)
  • Select Online Shopping tab
  • entry for Merchant will be listed under “Online Shopping” tab
  • Click on “Pay” button against the Merchant you want to pay
  • Select the account you want to pay from
  • Enter the Amount
  • Enter Order Number provided by Merchant in the field of Ref number
  • Click on Submit
  • Enter the PIN to confirm transaction
  • Once the transaction is successful the details will be communicated to Merchant for delivery of Goods/Services

Prepaid Vouchers

How to add a Prepaid Voucher/Mobile Top-up company ?

  • Login to UBL Netbanking
  • Select My Payments from the menu bar on the top of the page
  • Go to Mobile Top-up/Prepaid Vouchers tab under Prepaid Services menu
  • Click on Add Mobile Top-up/Prepaid Voucher on the right-hand of the page
  • Select Mobile Top-up/Prepaid voucher company
  • Enter Bill/voucher nick
  • For Mobile Top-up: provide Mobile number and then re-type the same to confirm Mobile number
  • Click on Add to add the Mobile Top-up/Number voucher

How to buy a Mobile prepaid voucher / Top-up?

  • Login to UBL Netbanking
  • Click on My Payments from the menu bar on the top of the page
  • Select My Payments from the menu bar on the top of the page
  • Go to Mobile Top-up/Prepaid Vouchers tab under Prepaid Services menu
  • Click on buy button against the Top-up/voucher nick you want to purchase
  • Select the account you want to pay from
  • For Vouchers: select provide the denomination amount you wish to purchase
  • For Top-up please put the amount which you want to recharge on you mobile phone number
  • Put your comments and click Next
  • Click on Pay
  • Enter the PIN to confirm transaction
  • For Vouchers: Once the transaction is successful, the voucher details shall be available in e-Transactions page upon clicking the relevant Transaction ID
  • For Top-up: Once the transaction is successful, you will receive an airtime recharge confirmation from your service provider.

What are the limits for Mobile Airtime top-up?

You can recharge the airtime to your mobile number in accordance to the below mentioned grid:

Setting Alerts

You can set customizable alerts on your listed accounts to keep an eye on any financial movement in your accounts.

How to set Balance Alert?

  • Logon to Netbanking
  • Go to ‘My Alerts’
  • Click ‘Balance Alert’
  • Select the account
  • Set the frequency of alert, daily, weekly and monthly
  • Set target (email, cell phone)
  • Click ‘Add’

How to add Statement Alert?

  • Select account title
  • Set the frequency of alert, daily, weekly and monthly
  • Set target (email, cell phone)
  • Click ‘Add’
  • Select the date at which you intend to make the payment
  • Click ‘Pay’
  • Enter your PIN on the confirmation page and click ‘Confirm Payment’ to execute the transaction

How to add Transaction Alert?

  • Click on ‘Transaction Alert’
  • Choose the ‘Transaction Type’ (deposits or withdrawals)
  • Set ‘Criteria’ on amount
  • Set target (email, cell phone)
  • Click ‘Add’

How to set Low / High Balance Alert?

  • Select account
  • Enter your ‘Criteria’ for balance (greater than or less than)
  • Set target (email, cell phone)
  • Click ‘Add’

Add Secondary E-mail?

  • Under 'My Alerts' click 'Add Target'.
  • Type appropriate target address
  • Click ‘Add’

Limit Enhancement

How can I change my Daily Limit if I have UBL Wallet Card?

If you have UBL Debit Card then:

  • Log on to your net banking account and Click 'Change Your Limit' on the top left corner of the screen.
  • Provide your UBL Debit Card Number and respective PINs
  • Mention the desired Daily Limit and click “Next”.

How can I change my Daily Limits if I don’t have UBL Wallet Card?

If you don’t have UBL Debit Card, please call UBL Contact Centre at 021-111-825-888

How can I change my Daily/Monthly Limits if I am temporarily outside Pakistan?

If you have UBL Debit Card then:

  • Log on to your net banking account and Click 'Change Your Limit' on the top left corner of the screen.

  • Mention the desired Daily Limit and click “Next”.

Can I transfer funds between my own accounts?

Yes, you can transfer funds between your own accounts.

Can I transfer funds to anyone from my Internet Banking Account??

Yes, you can transfer funds and also schedule payments from your account to anyone through Transfer Funds to Anyone.

How can I transfer funds through Transfer Funds to Anyone?h2>

You need to add a ‘Transfer Funds to Anyone’ Payee to your Pay Anyone Portfolio before instructing funds transfer. Once this is done, please follow the instructions.

How can I add a Transfer Funds to Anyone Payee?

Click Add “Transfer Funds to Anyone” Payee on UBL Netbanking portal. You will be asked to select the branch name and enter the account number.

How long does it take to add anyone in my beneficiary list?

Beneficiary account is added instantly.

How long does it take for funds to get credited into the beneficiary's account - if transferred through Transfer Funds to Anyone?

Normally, it takes 10 - 15 minutes for the transfer of funds to any Bank account across the country. In case the credit is delayed by more than a day, please call our Contact Center at 021-111-825-888.

Can I view the status/history of my transactions?

Yes, Click ‘Transaction History’ for the status of your recent transactions. Pending, Rejected and Successful transactions are listed in the respective section.

How can I add a Transfer Funds to Anyone Payee?

Click Add “Transfer Funds to Anyone” Payee on UBL Netbanking portal. You will be asked to select the branch name and enter the account number.

What is UBL Funds e-Account and how one can avail this facility for investment with UBL Fund Managers?

It is the facility for UBL Account holders to open Online Investment Account with UBL Fund Managers directly through UBL Netbanking without filling out any account opening form.

Opening e-Account is very easy and simple, you just need to login your UBL Netbanking and go to “Funds Investment” under ‘My payments’ menu and click on “Open e-Account with UBL Fund Managers” and follow the instructions to complete the process.
Any supporting documents required at the time of e-Account opening can be sent to customercare@ublfunds.com Since e-Account is an online account hence all future transactions to be carried out through electronic modes offered by UBL Fund Managers.

Who can use UBL Funds e-Account facility?

UBL Netbanking users having account maintained in PKR can avail this facility.
To open e-Account go to ‘Funds Investment’ under ‘My payments’ menu and click Open e-Account with UBL Funds to complete the procedure.

Note:

  • This facility is not available for Corporate/Jointly operated bank accounts.
  • Making investment in UBL Funds does not affect your Netbanking daily/monthly limit. However, you must be registered to any one of the monthly subscription packages of Netbanking other than basic package. This means you can invest as much as you want without worrying about your Netbanking limit.

I am an overseas UBL Account holder can I also open UBL Funds e-Account?

Yes, you can open UBL Funds e-Account if you are using UBL Netbanking service and maintaining PKR Account in Pakistan.

What is the minimum investment requirement for UBL Funds e-Account opening?

Investment can be initiated with as minimum as Rs.500/-. However every investment scheme has different minimum investment criteria and there is no limit for maximum investment.

How I will get confirmation of UBL Funds e-Account opening?

Once, UBL Funds e-Account Opening process will be completed successfully, a confirmation email would be sent to your registered email address along with updated transaction statement for your ready reference.

Can I invest in multiple schemes during UBL Funds e-Account opening?

At the time of account opening, you can invest in single scheme. Once e-Account is opened then you can investment in other schemes using UBL Netbanking.

Is this service available 24x7?

Yes, request for UBL Funds e-Account opening can be initiated round the clock.

How much time required for UBL Funds e-Account opening?

It takes approximately 6-8 business days to open your e-Account with UBL Fund Managers followed by a confirmation email from UBL Fund Managers.

Note:

As part of e-Account opening process UBL Fund Managers will contact you for further verification / details during our business hours. In case your verification remains incomplete at the end of 15 days from the time of e-Account request submission, the request would be marked cancelled and the transaction amount shall be reversed/ credited to your bank account. Is there any other option to open Investment Account with UBL Fund Managers?

Yes, the investment account can also be opened through physical forms. For more details please call 080000026 or email us customercare@ublfunds.com

Is there any requirement to maintain minimum investment balance?

There is no such requirement to maintain minimum investment balance.

Does my Netbanking fund transfer limit affects when I make investment online?

No, making investment in UBL Funds does not affect your Netbanking daily/monthly limit. However, you must be registered to any one of the monthly subscription packages of Netbanking other than basic package. This means you can invest as much as you want without worrying about your Netbanking limit.

How do I use Netbanking for additional investment in UBL Funds Product?

If you are maintaining UBL Funds Investment Account. You can invest in respective UBL Funds investment scheme via Net Banking by following mentioned simple steps:

  • Select Funds Investment from ‘My payments’ menu
  • Select Investment Scheme in which you want to invest
  • Enter investment amount
  • Click on ‘Pay’ to make the transaction
  • Enter your valid Netbanking pin to complete transaction

Are there any charges on investment through Netbanking service?

There is no service charge for making investment via Netbanking service whereas the applicability of investment charges (Front-end load) varies from product to product.

I have made additional investment from UBL Netbanking but I have received no confirmation as yet.

It takes 2-3 business days for issuance of units and confirmation is sent via email and/or SMS. For more details please call 0800-00026.

How can I schedule my payments for Investment in UBL Funds through Netbanking? (Auto Payment)

You can schedule your investments in UBL Funds on monthly, weekly, annual and time-factor basis through Netbanking

  • Select Schedule Payment ‘My payments’ menu
  • Click on Add Schedule Payment Instructions
  • Select Investment Scheme in “Pay To” option
  • Enter investment amount
  • Choose frequency, starting date and times.
  • Click on ‘Schedule Transfer’ to schedule your investments
  • Enter your valid Netbanking pin to complete transaction

Can I change my schedule of investments?

Yes, you can delete or modify the instructions given for schedule investments at a later stage.

I have mistakenly placed my funds in ULPF, how can I change the type?

Please inform UBL Funds by calling the helpline 0800-00026 for necessary assistance. Alternatively you can report the problem to UBL helpline 021-111-825-888

Note:

Once units are issued you may convert your units to desired investment scheme. To convert units you may login to your UBL Funds Online or call UBL Funds helpline 0800-00026 or sms TR to 8258 for assistance

Why against few schemes option for “pay” is disabled?

You may not pay against few schemes as separate account opening form is required. Once you have made initial investment in that particular scheme by filling out form then you may further invest in these schemes.

How can I view my investments with UBL Funds?

You can easily access your investment account details through:

  • UBL Funds Online - Get 24x7 access to your investment account. To register sms ONLINE to 8258
  • UBL Funds Mobile- Simply sms VALUE < your 10-digit Customer ID > to 8258.
  • UBL Netbanking- Check your investment value in My Accounts section. Also details of the subsequent investments made via Net Banking can be viewed.
  • UBL Funds Contact Center– Call Toll Free Number 0800-00026 of UBL Funds from 9 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and any other public holidays.

What is the procedure to withdraw investments?

You can place your request for redemption (withdrawal) in most of the schemes through UBL Funds Online. For more details contact Toll Free: 0800-00026 | Overseas clients: (+9221) 35622781

I have invested Rs. X amount but only Rs. Z (Z = X-charges) is shown, why is there a difference in the amount?

Some of our Products have certain fee/charges applicable at the time of investments therefore you may see the difference between the amount invested and the amount shown on your statement of account.
